Pashar chronicles

Pashar has recently investigated the age old myths of labyrinths below the barbarian highlands.

He was surprised to find these myths to be true! Pashar did however not venture too far into these
abominable pits. It suffice to say that the monsters confined in these places are scary indeed!

Lo and behold the immunities of these monstrosities!
The party of four should rise to the challenge once more!

Minion Wars

We progressed up to Kurast! Sit back and relaxed game it was indeed.
Our friend at level 1 found it hard to join us who were at level 16. It appears that
a low level character earns almost no XP for kills when he is part of a a much higher level party.

Here is the reason why:

Exp gained = Monster's Exp * Exp fraction
Exp fraction = Your level / (total of all party member levels)

So the Exp fraction for our level 1 player was (1/1+16+16+16), only 2% of what it was when he started playing solo!! See this website.

Victory and Rebirth

And we were victorious! The warriors of old at journey's end, evil vanquished. We will take up the world stone events at a later chapter.


Hark! Today we restart the epic journey as war lords.
The druids and necromancers will rise once again!

New party member

Pashar invited a new hero to join the epic battle.
The hero is still to accept the challenge.

Kyra's off to the UK for a while.
Once settled, we'll retake our adventures in Hell (in Hell).

Hope the UK-RSA connection is better than the Vodacom-local connection!

Slayers of the Desert

It was a great session, filled with epic battles. Thanks to all.

I believe Kyra will not be able to join us next week, seeing that
Anova is going to the UK for a few months. I hope he'll be settled and up
and running soon, so we can continue as a team.

2009 African internet

Yesterdays session was bogged down with network problems.
The lag was just unbearable. It is quite unbelievable that we experience these problems with
a local server within 40km of everyone!

Anyway, we hope this does not happen frequently. At least we got Gandor into Lut Gholein.
Next session we take on the desert!

Hell Union Mart

Pashar is back after two weeks of shopping at the Hell Union Mart.

The team is breaking the Level 60-70 barrier and a team in hell needs
proper equipment stocked only by Hell's on-line shop "Hell Union Mart".

On request Hell Union Mart manufactured a few special items for us:

Some of these are Delirium, Stone and Doom. The monsters of hell-spawn before us will die quicker and their bite be a bit less stingy, however I still urge thee to hark to the sound of exceptional evil and beware the fiends with unnaturally sharp claws and fangs of thunder.

Unleashing the elements on these hellish foes is the only sure-fire way of not dying every odd second. That, with some excellent teamwork! Oh, where art thou Pashar...

I will not be able to crack the shell of hell tonight together with the party.

This will give opportunity for the trio to gain that 4 level difference between myself and the party.
The Spawn of Hell may also be more forgiving in my absence.

Nightmare Hell is not a place for the holy soul, but this is where we will find Diablo!

War and Death

And so there was war in the Travincial!

During the confusion of war party members may die.
Theft of dropped potions and gold is something we
should try to avoid. Of course if you so happen to pickup
a few potions by mistake no problem, but don't make
wholesale pickings off the belongings of the recently dead.

The dead may just come back to haunt you!

Zatara

Hail thee fellow warriors!

The hour of revenge is drawing near.

I have news. Sharron has left our party.
I do not know for how long and why she would abandon us in this dark hour. I have failed to persuade her to remain but managed for her to send word to her friend Zatara to come to our aid.

It is of course the will of my fellow warriors to accept a new party member.

I believe her skill with the elements is quite extraordinary. We must be faithful in our prayers that Zatara can join us tonight. I feel much evil on our path yet to come.

In Torm's name we shall strike down this hell-bound unrighteous evil!

The lords of lightning

The lords of lightning punished us, but we prevailed !

The weirding way of the Evil is a mystery to us righteous men;
these monsters of magic impaled their fangs into our very
connection to the world of Diablo.

We pray this will never happen again.

This cannot pass unpunished!

Duriel the lord of pain

Duriel has been left behind by Baal to guard the Tomb of Tal Rasha. Embittered by this new position of solitary servitude, the Lord of Pain has claimed the souls and blood of many bold adventurers.

The time draws near for crushing the lord of pain in the Nightmare world!

Into the Nightmare Tombs

This coming Tuesday 17 March 2009 we will ravage the palace and burst into the ancient nightmarish tombs to vanquish Duriel and exterminate every last one of his undead minions.
The party will convene at the central district of Lut Gholein at 20h00.
